“Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity….” The famous line from Eminem doesn’t just apply to aspiring artists. Building hardware is expensive and oftentimes there is no quick fix if you got something wrong. So, does that make our palms sweaty?
To understand how music hardware UX research works and what we can learn from it, I’ll sit down with none other than Barbara Bencze. Barbara is a principal user researcher at Ableton who spent years conducting research for Move & Push. Push is Ableton’s prime music making hardware while Move is its latest product, hitting shelves in October 2024.
