March 12 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm EDT

In this session, join Ned Dwyer and Pedro Vargas as they explore the importance of measuring research effort and impact through the Researcher Effort Score. Pedro’s development of the Researcher Effort Score—a metric similar to the Customer Effort Score—quantifies how easy or difficult it is to conduct research within an organization. This transforms the way companies demonstrate the impact of research, proving that it extends far beyond administrative work. With research teams under increasing pressure to do more with less, measuring impact has never been more important. This session will explore:
  • How the Researcher Effort Score works and why it matters.
  • Tactical ways to measure and communicate the impact of research and ResearchOps
  • How Great Question supports research teams in tracking and improving their researcher effort score.
This session is perfect for ResearchOps professionals, senior researchers, and organizational leaders aiming to streamline research processes and demonstrate the value of research and research ops.

Collecting lots of learnings and insights doesn’t necessarily add up to making an impact.

This is something that Jake Burghardt, author of “Stop Wasting Research”, has seen firsthand throughout his 20+ years in the field.

Thankfully, he’s got some great tips to help make “unaddressed” research more useful for product development, and keep “top insights” alive in decision making cycles!

Don’t miss this chance to learn how to turn overlooked research into real value!

Curious how insights have been turned into actionable product improvements at Google? An insight without impact is an insight that doesn’t exist, so it’s essential for UX researchers to ensure their insights move the needle for stakeholders.

To understand how to turn insights into action, I’ll sit down with Nina Weber. Nina spent over 18 years at Google as a UX research leader, sharpening her approach to making insights impactful for products like Google Play or Google Cloud Platform.

We’ll cover the research process from planning to reporting, and Nina will share her blueprint of what to do exactly at each step to ensure a high impact down the line.

Agenda

1. Prioritizing your research projects & efforts
2. Keeping up stakeholder engagement during research
3. Reporting – Sharing your insights in an impactful way
4. Q&A

Key Learnings

Nina will provide you with a blueprint and tactical advice on how to tweak your entire research process to ensure high-impact insights upon delivery to your stakeholders. If you find this session insightful, check out Nina’s course, which goes deeper into the topic.

About Nina

Nina is the co-founder of Astrolabium, a duo with Javier Bargas-Avila delivering training & coaching for UX and tech professionals. Nina is a seasoned UX researcher with 20 years of industry experience, including 18 years at Google, where she had the opportunity to work as both an individual contributor and a people manager, leading research across all stages of the product lifecycle.

Have you ever grown angry thinking “But I’ve explained this 1,000 times!” when talking to a colleague or superior?

More often than not, the reason your messages don’t land has nothing to do with the intelligence or attention of the person. It has something to do with their personality.

To understand how personality types shape how we prefer to receive information, I’ll sit down with Naresh Shan, co-founder of DesignOps Aligned. Having worked for years with product & design teams, Naresh has found that developing internal personas using Thomas Erikson’s framework from ‘Surrounded by Idiots’ can effectively alleviate communication problems.

Agenda

1. Personality types and how they influence workplace dynamics
2. How to build internal personas
3. How to use personas to tailor your communication to stakeholders
4. Q&A

Key Learnings

Naresh will provide you with a blueprint to develop your internal personas helping you minimize misunderstandings and communicate more effectively with your stakeholders.

About Naresh

Naresh is the co-founder of DesignOps Aligned, which helps product teams optimize their processes with DesignOps methodologies. His career spans over 15 years, and he’s seen it all – having been a developer, UI designer and UX / design ops leader at companies like Johnson Controls. He is also the host of the Design Ops Podcast Show.

Growth is the lifeline of any tech product. When user engagement drops and new sign-ups slow down, investors lose confidence, and your company’s future becomes uncertain. The worst part? Many product teams don’t see it coming.

To stay ahead, you need to recognize the early warning signs of stagnation and know how to pivot before it’s too late.

That’s why I’m sitting down with Shannon Vettes, CEO of Usersnap and a veteran product leader with over 20 years of experience.

Agenda

1. The product decisions that silently kill growth
2. Early indicators that your product is losing traction
3. Actionable tactics & using feedback to revive a struggling product
4. Live Q&A with Shannon

Key learnings

Shannon will break down real-world, practical examples of how product choices—big and small—can make or break growth. You’ll walk away with easy-to-try strategies to safeguard your product’s momentum and set it up for long-term success.

About Shannon

Shannon is a seasoned product leader with a career spanning over 20 years at companies like BlaBlaCar or Acquia. She is also an active mentor & lecturer at Product School or Women in Product. As the CEO of Usersnap, she helps digital products turn customer feedback into powerful insights.
